Winemakers
Notes
January 2018 was one of the hottest on record, followed by February which was one of the wettest. Warm nights led to low acids and an early harvest. Fruit flavours were intense and delicious. Hand picked from our single cane, high density planted vines, in a hot pocket site grown at the top of our Brookby Hill Vineyard. The fruit was fermented in an open top tank with 30% whole bunch clusters and traditionally foot stomped. The wine was then lightly pressed into 25% new and seasoned French oak barrels and aged for 11 months before being bottled unfiltered.
